I have a case of the Mondays

Thanks to this new Tuesday and Thursday night training at the YMCA, I couldn't straighten my arms all the way this weekend. LOL Needless to say I did nothing yesterday. I didn't even do my laundry or grocery shopping. Of course this is going to throw my entire week off. It was nice, though. I am working at the state fair this Friday, pouring beer for the Richmond ski club. That should be fun. I am going to have my cheat meal there for sure. I am also planning on going to an extra fitness class on Saturday. Fingers crossed I can move my arms after class on Thursday. LOL I am a little blah today. I have the start of a headache and I am just feeling a little down. I need to get my diet under control and have some type of order. Right now I am all over the place which isn't good. I am going to Christmas Abbott's seminar this weekend, so hopefully I will be excited once I get out of there and have a plan. I need it! Well, I will chat with you later!

Hello Fall!

You will probably see a lot more posts from me since I need to remind myself about my fitness journey. I took a hiatus from the gym and eating clean. One day turned into two, which turned into two weeks, three months, etc. My schedule was changed at work and I could no longer work out with the trainers in the morning which really threw me off. I seem to be an all or nothing type of person. If I am not working out, why diet. That makes no sense but yet somehow my brain convinced me that it works like that. I noticed my uniform was getting a little tight so it was time to get serious again. The main thing I need to talk about is how I am dealing with starting again. How difficult it is to complete exercises that were easy before. How much I need to work to get my strength to where it was. How much more difficult it is to breath now that I haven't been doing any cardio. I need to remember this. Maybe then, the next time my one day turns into two will not become three months or even a week. I want to be strong again. I want to hear the workout and think I've got this. I want to be a wodkiller again. I realize it will happen but I cannot help but be disappointed in myself for stopping. At one point, I was within three pounds of my goal weight. Unreal. Its not all gloom and doom, though. My 40th bday was amazing and has inspired us to want to move west. I am literally looking for a job every few days. I wish I would find something. We plan to downsize, get rid of most of our stuff and live much more simple. I would be happy doing a lot of different things but I really want to train dogs. Maybe I can get a job with the avalanche rescue dogs. Anyone know if a ski resort in Tahoe needs a dog trainer? Until next week...
