Update

Good morning! I am happy to be updating anyone out there with my progress! I have been working with a personal trainer at the Y and have been following Christmas Abbott's nutrition plan. I have lost 15 pounds and I am going strong! I cannot wait to see how I am looking mid-December. Yippee! Things are pretty much the same. Work is work lol...that is about the best thing I can say about it. The dogs are great, my sweetie is great and that is about all that is new lol. Boring! Anyway, I am signing up for another round of personal training at the Y and hope it will boost my fitness level and add to the weight loss. I will post before/after shots in December.

I have a case of the Mondays

Thanks to this new Tuesday and Thursday night training at the YMCA, I couldn't straighten my arms all the way this weekend. LOL Needless to say I did nothing yesterday. I didn't even do my laundry or grocery shopping. Of course this is going to throw my entire week off. It was nice, though. I am working at the state fair this Friday, pouring beer for the Richmond ski club. That should be fun. I am going to have my cheat meal there for sure. I am also planning on going to an extra fitness class on Saturday. Fingers crossed I can move my arms after class on Thursday. LOL I am a little blah today. I have the start of a headache and I am just feeling a little down. I need to get my diet under control and have some type of order. Right now I am all over the place which isn't good. I am going to Christmas Abbott's seminar this weekend, so hopefully I will be excited once I get out of there and have a plan. I need it! Well, I will chat with you later!

Hello Fall!

You will probably see a lot more posts from me since I need to remind myself about my fitness journey. I took a hiatus from the gym and eating clean. One day turned into two, which turned into two weeks, three months, etc. My schedule was changed at work and I could no longer work out with the trainers in the morning which really threw me off. I seem to be an all or nothing type of person. If I am not working out, why diet. That makes no sense but yet somehow my brain convinced me that it works like that. I noticed my uniform was getting a little tight so it was time to get serious again. The main thing I need to talk about is how I am dealing with starting again. How difficult it is to complete exercises that were easy before. How much I need to work to get my strength to where it was. How much more difficult it is to breath now that I haven't been doing any cardio. I need to remember this. Maybe then, the next time my one day turns into two will not become three months or even a week. I want to be strong again. I want to hear the workout and think I've got this. I want to be a wodkiller again. I realize it will happen but I cannot help but be disappointed in myself for stopping. At one point, I was within three pounds of my goal weight. Unreal. Its not all gloom and doom, though. My 40th bday was amazing and has inspired us to want to move west. I am literally looking for a job every few days. I wish I would find something. We plan to downsize, get rid of most of our stuff and live much more simple. I would be happy doing a lot of different things but I really want to train dogs. Maybe I can get a job with the avalanche rescue dogs. Anyone know if a ski resort in Tahoe needs a dog trainer? Until next week...

Catch Up! Its 2104!

Well, good morning! Happy 2014! I am expecting great things in 2014. I realize I am very late with this but a lot has been going on in my life since the new year. I signed up with a health coach and she took my scale away. That scares me to death. This is because she says I am hung up on numbers...with my workout, my weight, my hours of sleep, etc. She might be right. Unfortunately I went a little crazy with eating due to my new freedom and now I need to get back in check. What else is new. Oh! My sweetie decided he would like to take me to Tahoe for my bday and get me a ski lesson to get me back into the sport. I am pretty excited about that. We are also probably going to buy some property out there on the NV side...either a little house or condo for vacations and eventually maybe moving when we retire. We will see. My sweetie is up for promotion again. I am sure he is getting it but we are waiting for the official word. Cannot wait to get him off of midnights. Don't get me wrong, the money is awesome and my sleep is great but I miss him. Currently my mom is visiting, which is great. I haven't seen her since November. We had our Christmas which was fun and we have been catching up and running around. Its nice to have her here. Anyway, that is about it for me. I hope everyone is doing well!!! Talk to you soon.
